Joel Fox

Executive Director

Joel has been with Hope Landing since 2011, serving in various roles, including caregiver, project manager, and now Executive Director. While he wears many hats—including human resources, marketing, resident care, and billing—most would say he oversees the day-to-day business operations.

Joel joined Hope Landing fresh out of college, bringing with him a degree in Biology from Olivet College. It was here that he discovered his niche while caring for residents, which inspired him to pursue further certifications as a Certified Assisted Living Director and a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

Beyond his work at Hope Landing, Joel serves as the Marketing Committee Chair for the Michigan Centers for Assisted Living and is a Board Member of The Charlotte Rotary Club, reflecting his dedication to both the senior care industry and his community.

Joel is happily married to his wife, Laura, and they have two children, Brynlee and Colter, along with their beloved dog, Hallie. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, disc golfing, barbecuing, playing fantasy football, and staying active in his church. Joel also enjoys various forms of exercise, particularly weightlifting, as a way to stay healthy and energized. His favorite part of working at Hope Landing is spending one-on-one time with residents. Building relationships, sharing stories, and creating meaningful connections are what bring him the greatest joy and fulfillment in his role.

Ashley Crowner

Director of Food Service & Operations

Ashley Crowner joined Hope Landing in 2016, bringing with her over seven years of experience in long-term care as a caregiver and a deep passion for serving others. Throughout her time at Hope Landing, Ashley has made a meaningful impact in a variety of roles—providing care on both day and night shifts, preparing meals in the kitchen, and now leading as the Director of Food Service & Operations.

Her dedication to growth and excellence is evident through her professional achievements. Ashley has completed the Indispensable Supervisor Program, the Core Dementia Leadership Program, and the Certified Assisted Living Director training, with full certification pending an upcoming exam. These accomplishments reflect her commitment to leadership and to enhancing the lives of the residents she serves.

When Ashley isn’t at work, you can find her spending time with her family, hiking through nature, weightlifting, swimming, playing games, or getting lost in a good book.

Jessica Davis

Director of Life Enrichment

Jessica joined Hope Landing in February 2023 as a caregiver, where she quickly fell in love with both the residents and the company. It was here that she discovered her calling in Assisted Living—building meaningful relationships and creating joy-filled experiences for the residents.

Jessica’s background is a unique blend of experiences, including work in an audiology office, leadership as a team leader in a factory, and several years in childcare. This combination of caregiving and leadership skills makes her an excellent fit for her current role as Director of Life Enrichment. Jessica is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and executing engaging and meaningful daily activities that enhance the lives of our residents.

In 2024, Jessica completed the Core Dementia Care Program, deepening her expertise and further equipping her to provide exceptional care and connection for those living with dementia.

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and son, playing games, exploring the outdoors, or snuggling up with one of her three fur babies.

Brittany Corts

Director of Resident Care

Brittany Corts’ journey with Hope Landing reflects her deep commitment to care, family, and leadership. She first joined Hope Landing part-time in the fall of 2021, stepping in to help the family business while still managing a full-time role elsewhere. After briefly phasing out, Brittany returned to support the team once again. By the end of 2023, faced with the opportunity to continue on a similar career path in another industry, Brittany discovered that her heart was truly calling her back to caring for people. She made the decision to join Hope Landing full-time, a choice rooted in both passion and purpose.

Brittany holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Grand Valley State University, and her education combined with her experience has been a tremendous asset to her role. As Director of Resident Care, Brittany oversees provider and resident family communication while also assisting with many HR and compliance-related areas of the business. Her dedication to personal and professional growth is evident; in a short time during 2023, Brittany earned her Certified Assisted Living Director credential, completed the Core Dementia Program (the same as her colleague Amber), and went on to complete the Core Dementia Leadership Program.

Brittany’s connection to Hope Landing runs deep—her parents founded the organization in 2007, and she is honored to play a role in its continued success.

When she isn’t working, Brittany treasures time spent with her family and approaches each day with gratitude. She often reflects on how thankful she is to work alongside Hope Landing’s Team and to contribute to a place that means so much to her and those she serves.

These accolades reflect her excellence and the trust she inspires, paving the way for her current role as Care Team Coordinator, where she oversees our Day Shift Care Team with the same passion and leadership that defined her early years.

The comfort and peace of mind we felt as we walked through the doors of Hope Landing for the first time, was remarkable.
